I’ve lived through the aftermath of WWII, where my father was on the front lines
fighting Nazism for 3 straight years. I lived through the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. I cowered under my school desk upon hearing air raid sirens during the Cold War. I saw blacks sprayed with water cannons in the Deep South and George Wallace standing on the steps of the schoolhouse to oppose integration. I saw nightly scenes of dead Vietcong and body counts of American soldiers. I saw upheavals in the streets as college-aged young people fought police over a variety of injustices. I saw police called “pigs,” the entire government as “the Establishment” that couldn’t be trusted. I saw the National Guard shooting protestors at Kent State. I saw Federal buildings blown up by the Weather Underground. I saw Black Panthers carrying military-style weapons in the streets. I saw Brown-Berets, hippies, yippies, flower-children, and rednecks. I saw drug addicts, alcoholics, beatniks, and anarchists. I saw corrupt politicians, the military-industrial complex and warmongers monetizing the death of its youth, dangerous intelligence agencies invading citizen privacy being exposed. I saw monopolies, like Ma’ Bell, identified and broken up. This is just a cursory lists of things to which I have been a witness during my lifetime.
My message to you? This is not the end of the world as we know it. It is not the end of the American way of life.
Because you have computers and cell phones instead of mass media, the fight against evil remains fundamentally the same. There have always been good guys and bad guys. In fact, Christ taught that the seeds of both are in all of our hearts.
Many of those people who did bad things 30 years ago grew up and flipped from their radicalism. Of that generation, for every Hillary Clinton who flipped from being a Goldwater Girl to an Alinskyite, there are a dozen who went from Chairman Mao to President Reagan. Life has a way of weeding out bad ideas and behavior as one matures. Those millennials who believe the nonsense of critical race theory and postmodernism will realize one day that it does not work in the real world. They’re stupid notions of “fundamentally changing America” or “reimagining the police” will blow up in their faces as nature has a way of slapping petulance in the face. Furthermore, bad actors have a way of eating their own. When they no longer have Trump to galvanize their cooperation, do you think for one minute that the devoted communists won’t turn on the crony capitalists? Or, that Islamists won’t cut the heart out of the gay rights groups?
Grab some popcorn and watch the demise of the statists, globalists heterogeny. Pendulums always swing back, tables always turn, nature always fills vacuums.
In the meantime, love and protect your family, friends, and neighbors. Join local churches and organizations of like mind. Hang on to each other. Speak truth to power (both governmental and anarchists). Above all, keep the faith.
