Opportunities: How to exceed accreditation and regulatory agency standards.  As accreditation compliance officer and facilitator for over 25-years in four schools with four different accreditation agencies, I have gained unique expertise to assist learning organizations in resolving a variety of accreditation issues. Since many of the agencies require outside validation for evidence, this has expanded my competencies to many national, state, and local regulatory bodies.

  • I have successfully facilitated accreditation renewals eight times with four accrediting organizations in four different schools.
  • I trained assessors to determine whether National Board for Professional Teaching Standards candidates met NBPTS standards in Florida and Texas.
  • I served on over fifteen different accreditation site teams and chaired teams on four occasions.
  • I served as the President of the Accrediting Commission for the Texas Association of Baptist Schools (ACTABS) for a two-year term.
  • I represented ACTABS at the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC) meeting at the state capital.
  • I have gone through advanced training for Quality Matters and assessed Online Courses by those standards.
  • I incorporated iNACOL and ISTE standards for best practices in teacher evaluation systems.
  • I served on a District Effectiveness and Compliance intervention for the Texas Education Agency’s accountability visit to Dallas Independent School District.
